A big crowd-pleaser at the Arcadia Park Memorial Day gathering is the landing by members of the Golden Stars Skydiving Team.

Flags flew high and patriotism abounded Saturday at an annual veterans event at Arcadia County Park in advance of Memorial Day.

Our young active duty service members who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan also are to be honored for volunteering to serve our country !

It is always a beautiful sight to see the flag unfurled during opening ceremonies !

Thousands attended the event, where veterans were honored with ceremonies, flyovers by WWII-era fighter planes, a skydiving demonstration and more.

The Golden Stars Skydiving Team always end their show by bringing the "Stars & Stripes" down with them onto the field....SPECTACULAR !!!

At the Memorial Day event, I was introduced to this new flag.
